This programme equips participants with the foundational knowledge, confidence and skills required to deliver evidence-informed menopause awareness education in workplace, community and educational environments. Participants develop an understanding of menopause, its causes and effects. It is suitable for both experienced trainers and those who are new to education delivery and wish to develop the knowledge, skills and qualifications required to progress towards delivering menopause education professionally.
Serving as a foundation programme, it provides a progression pathway to a Diploma in Workplace Menopause Education and Facilitation, successful completion of which enables participants to meet the qualification and insurance requirements necessary to deliver menopause education and training programmes within corporate, public sector, educational and community settings.
Following successful completion of this programme, participants may avail of ongoing guidance and support from the Irish Menopause Institute in the development, implementation and review of menopause-inclusive workplace policies, procedures and support frameworks. This continued professional support enables participants and organisations to translate learning into practice, helping to create informed, inclusive and supportive workplace environments that align with current best practice in menopause awareness and workplace wellbeing.
